Things I want to ask my Nutritionist

  1. Oatmeal is on this list, but its all carbs? Can I use oats to make SF granola?
  2. My dad who is diabetic, always worries about glycemic index, I don’t sugar is sugar. Is that right?
  3. What is a reasonable carb goal?
  4. I think I want to budget into my diet plan, to have real ice cream twice a month, but I am worried that eating sugar will trigger the desire to have more sugar. What do you think?
  5. Is Rice ok, like the 1/2 cup on your handout? What about other grains?
  6. Is there some secret formula like Carbs/Protein < 20 is an ok food?
  7. I need a plan / strategy for Church food and eating out & camping.
  8. Corn is on your list, but isn’t that high sugar? Corn on the cob is nice but how often then?
  9. What about sugar alcohols?
  10. Popcorn! I love it! stove popped in Olive Oil! Light salt sometimes unsalted butter… What are your thoughts?
